I needed a loaf of bread. Not just any loaf but a delicious, chewy, grainery loaf. I bake my own at home but here we are in Sidmouth. There are bakeries closer and mini-supermarkets with their products. But I craved something better. And small. I noticed this bakery and their bread is just superb. And the service is excellent.

Just a wonderful family bakery. Have been using Vinnicombes for years and everything we have tried has been wonderful. Had a bit of confusion with a scone order this afternoon but they were exceptionally helpful and sorted it straight away - thank you!

Best almond croissant I've ever had! Popped there the other day on a visit to Sidmouth and had the most delicious almond croissant and my husband had an almond macaroon. Such a great traditional bakery on the high street :)

We had steak and potato pasties!! Absolutely beautiful and a good price too. We also treated ourselves to some of the sweet goodies. So much choice!! Lovely lady behind the counter too. Would recommend as you get great value for money.

Fantastic bakery, great sourdough loaves, seeded and normal and the best croissants around. Try the cinnamon bun and lemon drizzle foccacia, both outstanding.

I was in Sidmouth whilst I was self catering for a week and bought pasties for my supper - they were really tasty and reasonable prices and good to support a local independent bakery rather than a chain (local is not mass produced) Keep up the good work

Good bakery for locals and tourists! Friendly and helpful bakery staff. I enjoyed the tasty fresh baked bread and chocolate dipped shortbread. Noticed a good range of sausage rolls, filled baps and beautifully decorated cakes in store too. Many thanks!

Popped in today to pick up some lunch for the beach but we were a little early " don't worry said the guy behind the counter what would you like, I'll make it up for you if you can wait a minute on the bench across the road" ( all the sandwiches are made fresh each day with all the love and care you would expect from a high end restaurant) sure not a problem (we had the New York deli style peppersl steak Gouda and accompaniments). He gave us a little wave, we received our sandwiches paid and left. Well I can only describe that sandwich as the perfect and best sandwich I have ever had I will certainly be recommended this place to everybody. An independent bakery run by fabulous people making the best food what more can you ask forI have bought a bread. It is exceptional good one.
I go hear most days for my lunch. Their fresh rolls are very tasty and well filled and they do the best apple danishes. Happy staff, great customer service. Great place for a grab and go lunch.
I have never tasted such delicious pastries and neither have you (unless you've been to Vinnicombes). The bakers who work here are very skilled at making delicious things. I can't wait to eat them again!

Long standing high quality bakery, always fresh and good, including tempting cakes, pastries and savouries. My problem is too much choice, if the queue has a few in it, I have changed my mind a few times before I get my turn...
Best bakery anywhere. All produce freshly baked each day....fabulous The delivery driver called Philo is also the nicest bloke..
